Nearly 80 years ago, a little flower shop opened in Canberra and somehow, it never stopped. When Kathy bought the shop almost 40 years ago, it was already well-loved and well-worn in the best possible way. She kept the name. We still don't know exactly who Joanne was, but we like to think she'd approve of what the place has become. She's our quiet muse.

Today the shop is run by Mel, Kathy's daughter, and someone who was practically raised between the buckets and the blooms. She learned the craft growing up, and now she leads the team across everything: retail florals, weddings, and events throughout Canberra and the ACT.

We're lucky to have Fadia, who has been with us for over 16 years, and Annie, who we manifested into existence. They're not staff, they're family. And then there's Peter, Kathy's husband and Mel's dad, who you'll never see in the spotlight but without whom nothing would run. He's out on the road every day, collecting the freshest seasonal flowers, delivering across Canberra, and keeping the whole thing moving. Our quiet hero.

As one of Canberra's longest-running florists, we're a small team and we like it that way. It means every arrangement gets real attention, every customer gets a real conversation, and nothing gets made without heart, whether it's a same-day bouquet or a full wedding at Mona Farm.
