For almost 80 years, our much-loved florist in Canberra City has been part of the local landscape. When Kathy bought the shop nearly 40 years ago, it was already a thriving business—and she couldn’t bring herself to change the name. We still don’t know exactly who Joanne was, but her spirit lives on in everything we do. She’s our quiet muse and a constant source of inspiration.

Today, the business is proudly run by Kathy and her daughter Mel. Mel was practically raised in the shop, learning the craft from a young age, and now works full time alongside her Mum. Together, we carry on a legacy of creativity, care, and family tradition.

We’re also lucky to have two incredible team members: Fadia, who’s been with us for over 16 years, and Annie, who joined us more than a year ago. They’re not just staff—they’re family. Their warmth, skill, and dedication are at the heart of everything we do.

And behind the scenes, there’s Peter—Kathy’s husband and Mel’s dad—our quiet hero. He’s the one out on the road making deliveries, collecting fresh flowers, and keeping everything running smoothly. We couldn’t do it without him.
