Delivery Policy

When we deliver to a residential house and no one is home, the couriers will leave your flowers in a  safe location. We do not take responsibility for your flowers once they have been delivered. We will call ahead to check if recipients are home if the address is to an apartment complex, however, if the recipient is not available to collect, and we are unable to leave the flowers in a safe space, we are required to return the flowers to the shop. If delivering to a business/government building the same applies.  You will have the option of a re-delivery which will incur a re-delivery fee of $15.00 or to collect from our Manuka store. If the re-delivery is after 5:00pm, your flowers will be re-delivered the next business day. We will not be responsible for any incorrect delivery information given or being unable to contact recipients on delivery.

Status of delivery

Please be aware that we will not notify you upon successful delivery unless we encounter an issue. If you would like to know the status of your order, you are welcome to call us on 6295 0315 and we will update you as soon as we can.

Substitution Policy

Only when necessary it may be required to substitute some or all of the flowers used in your arrangement or bouquet, due to factors that are impossible to predict such as local flower or colour availability. Seasonal availability can also mean some flower types may vary from those displayed in some of the images on our website however we do our best to keep our website updated at all times. Here at Joanne's we strive to source the flowers that you want, but this is not always possible. The gift wrapping & packaging may also vary from what is pictured on the website.
We ask that If you have a very specific need that the flower arrangement comes exactly as appears on the website or you have a specific request that is not available on our website then it is your responsibility to contact us directly on 6295 0315 or 6295 2525 to discuss flower types, and availability.
Where we are required to substitute, we guarantee to always replace flowers to  equal or higher value, and will keep with the design and concept of the flowers originally chosen.

Flower Care

  • Place flowers in a clean, well sized vase, ensuring the vase is rinsed and cleaned to make sure no bacteria is left behind to potentially contaminate the flowers.
  • Then remove the packaging, recycling or reusing it and trim any leaves below the water level. This will prevent the growth of bacteria and keep the water clean.
  • Cut the flowers 1-2 inches from the ends of the stems at an angle which ensures the flowers are able to drink water and keep hydrated. If the flowers are not cut, they will be unable to absorb water.
  • Avoid placing flowers in direct sunlight or heated areas; this will cause the flowers to wilt. Further to avoid wilting, make sure you place them away from fruits as some fruits discharge ethylene gas which can prematurely age flowers.

 Preserved Floral Care

  • Keep your preserved florals away from water and humidity. This may cause the colours to fade and/or transfer, also causing the petals to become translucent.
  • Avoid placing your preserved florals in direct or strong light. This will cause them to fade.
  • Avoid placing in areas where there is wind (infront of an open window or under the air conditioning or heater. This may cause dryness in the petals causing them to become fragile and breakable.
  • Be mindful and try not to touch the preserved florals, keeping them out of reach of small children and pets.
